Overall, hardware sale this week decreased by 26 percent. Week-on-week sales is down across the board, except for the PSP and Vita. Overall year-on-year sales are up by 11 percent and the Wii U, 3DS, and Vita are up year-over-year.
One game debuted in the top 30 this week: Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster (PS3) debuted at number 15 with sales of 182,990. The Vita version debuted at number 20 with sales of 151,131. The game debuted in Japan.
Software milestones this week in the top 30: Grand Theft Auto V (PS3) passed the 16 million mark; Pokemon X/Y (3DS) passed the nine million mark; Puzzle & Dragons Z (3DS) passed the one million mark; Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (X360) passed the two million mark; Battlefield 4 (PS3) passed the two million mark; Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS) passed the six million mark; and New Super Luigi U (WiiU).
Worldwide Hardware
Hardware home console sales week-on-week is down across the board. PlayStation 4 sales are down 288,707 (-38%) to 465,686 units sold. PlayStation 3 sales are down 34,708 (-9%) to 366,829 units sold. Xbox One sales are down 120,041 (-29%) to 290,762 units sold. Xbox 360 sales are down 120,041 (-35%) to 263,376 units sold. The Wii U sold 220,732 units, a decrease of 88,191 (-29%). The Wii sold 94,295 units, a decrease of 19,979 (-17%).
Handheld sales week-on-week is up for the PSP and Vita, and down for the DS and 3DS. The 3DS sold 756,592 units, which is down 307,585 (-29%) week-on-week. The PlayStation Vita sold 193,441 units which is up 17,292 (10%) compared to last week. The PSP is up 9,065 (9%) to 104,851 units sold. The DS is down 9,475 (-37%) to 15,795 units sold. Total week on week sales are down 986,944 units (-26%) to 2,772,359 million units sold.
The Wii U, 3DS, and Vita are all up year-on-year. The PlayStation 3 is down 151,843 (-29%), the Wii is down 121,884 (-56%), the Xbox 360 is down 146,097 (-36%), and the Wii U is up 19,609 (10%). The PSP is down 100,214 (-49%), the DS is down 74,171 (-82%), the Vita is up 17,292 (37%) and the 3DS is up 31,584 (4%). Year on year sales are up 266,152 units (11%).
Home console hardware sales have decreased for every platform for one week. The Wii U has outsold the Wii for 15 straight weeks. The PlayStation 4 has outsold the PlayStation 3 for three weeks. The Xbox One has outsold the Xbox 360 for one week.
The PlayStation 3 has a 51 percent market share for the seventh generation; the Xbox 360 has a 36 percent market share; and the Wii has a 13 percent market share. The PlayStation 4 has a 48 percent market share for the eighth generation, The Xbox One has a 30 percent market share and the Wii U has a 23 percent market share. Compared with ten weeks ago the PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, and Wii U are up.
Handheld hardware sales have increased for the PSP for nine weeks and the vita for three weeks. The 3DS and DS have decreased for one week. The Vita has outsold the PSP for 12 straight weeks. The gap between the 3DS and Vita has decreased this week to 563,000 units, from 888,000 units last week.
The PSP has an 87 percent market share this week for the seventh generation handhelds, while the DS has a 13 percent market share. The 3DS has an 80 percent market share for the eighth generation of handhelds, while the Vita has a 20 percent market share. Compared with ten weeks all four handhelds are up.
Worldwide Software

Call of Duty: Ghosts (PS3) is at number three with sales of 372,984. Grand Theft Auto V (X360) is at number four with sales of 367,995. Pokémon X/Y (3DS) is at number five with sales of 363,325.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (3DS) is at number six with sales of 337,207. Just Dance 2014 (Wii) is at number seven with sales of 298,779. Gran Turismo 6 (PS3) is at number eight with sales of 245,970. New Super Mario Bros. U (WiiU) is at number nine with sales of 215,542. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (PS3) rounds out the top 10 with sales of 210,848.
Software home console sales week-on-week is down across the board. The PlayStation 3 sold 6.42 million games, a decrease of 1,867,396 units (-23%). The Xbox 360 sold 5.50 million games this week, a decrease of 2,162,893 units (-28%). Wii software sales are down 1,248,455 units (-34%) to 2.44 million games sold. The Wii U sold 1.22 million games, a decrease of 525,676 units (-30%). The PlayStation 4 sold 1.17 million games, a decrease of 404,072 (-26%). The Xbox One sold 803,142 games, a decrease 202,740 units.
Handheld software sales week-on-week is down across the board. The 3DS sold 2.75 million games, which down 964,426 units (-26%). The DS sold 1.48 million games, a decrease of 505,589 units (-25%) week-on-week. Vita game sales are down 27,508 units (-4%) to 676,282 games sold. The PSP sold 494,950 games, a decrease of 87,481 (-15%). Total combined software is down 8.00 million units (-26%) week-on-week to 22.95 million.
Year-on-year software totals are up for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, DS, PSP 3DS, and Vita. The PlayStation 3 is up 605,370 units (36%), the Wii is down 2.32 million units (-17%), the Xbox 360 is up 148,040 units (3%), and the Wii U is up 787,276 units (182%). The DS is down 34,022 units (-2%), the PSP is up 33,883 units (7%), the 3DS is up 940,114 units (52%), and the Vita is down 309,703 units (84%). Total combined software is up 5.35 million units (84%) games sold year-on-year.
Home console software sales have decreased for every home console for one week.
The PlayStation 3 has a 45 percent market share for the seventh generation; the Xbox 360 has a 38 percent market share; and the Wii has a 17 percent market share. The Wii U has a 38 percent market share for the eighth generation, the PlayStation 4 has a 37 percent market share, and the Xbox One has a 25 percent market share. Compared with ten weeks ago all four home consoles are up.
Handheld software sales are down across the board. The 3DS and DS have remained above their rivals, the Vita and PSP respectively. The 3DS sold more than four times as many games as the Vita. The DS sold more than three times as many games as the PSP.
The DS has a 75 percent market share for the current generation handhelds and the PSP has a 25 percent market share. The 3DS has an 80 percent market share for the next generation handhelds, while the Vita has a 20 percent market share. Compared with ten weeks ago all four handhelds are up.

Media Create sales have been released:
Vita sales(vita plus Vita TV): 87142
FFX/X-2 PS3: 185918

FFX VITA: 25443.
So that means adjustments are needed.
The 3ds should be put on a hardware chart of it's own, the other 3 are just all merged together in a line of "not the 3ds".
Vita starting to pick up a bit tho that's pretty cool to see, hopefully a few more systems in peoples hands might convince devs to throw it a bone here and there.
Great to see handhelds doing well. The PS4 trend spikes made me chuckle.
Hope PS Vita turns around.
