USA Preorders Chart, 14 September 2013 - Grand Theft Auto V - News

There is one game in the top 40 to be in their final week: Grand Theft Auto V for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game finished with a combined 3.5 million pre-orders in the US.
10 games have 200,000 or more pre-orders, the same as last week, and the top 19 has 100,000 or more pre-orders, the same as last week. Three games added 20,000 or more pre-orders, up from two last week and five added 10,000 or more, the same as last week.
Games in Final Week Before Launch
Grand Theft Auto V (X360) added 294,869 pre-orders for a final total of 2,100,371. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 3 million to 4 million unit range. Expect the game to sell between 7.5 million units and 9 million units lifetime in the US.

Grand Theft Auto V (PS3) added 216,994 pre-orders for a final total of 1,421,835. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 2 million to 3 million unit range. Expect the game to sell between 4.5 million units and 6 million units lifetime in the US.

Major Performers in the U.S. – Week Ending September 21
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX (PS3) sales are expected to drop to around 55,000 units in its second week on sale.
NHL 14 (X360) sales are expected to drop to around 18,000 units in its second week on sale. The PlayStation 3 version is expected to drop to around 11,000 units.
Killzone: Mercenary (PSV) sales are expected to drop to around 5,000 units in its second week on sale.
Puppeteer (PS3) sales are expected to drop to around 4,000 units in its second week on sale.
With the release of Grand Theft Auto V for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 hardware and software sales for both consoles are expected to jump up. Software sales for the two platforms are expected to increase four or five fold, while hardware sales are expected to more than double.
Other Hot Games – In Order of Release
Battlefield 4 (X360) added 6,634 pre-orders, up from 6,211 last week, for a total of 304,812. The game is 235,000 pre-orders behind of Battlefield 3 (X360). This is up from 179,000 pre-orders behind the previous week. The Xbox 360 version of the game is seven weeks away from launch in the USA, October 29, 2013.
When you add in the Xbox One version of Battlefield 4 the two versions have the exact same number of pre-orders as Battlefield 3 10 weeks before release.
Battlefield 4 (PS3) added 3,401 pre-orders, down from 2,685 last week, for a total of 165,832. The game is 112,000 pre-orders behind of Battlefield 3 (PS3). This is up from 94,000 pre-orders behind the previous week. The PlayStation 3 version of the game is seven weeks away from launch in the USA, October 29, 2013.
When you add in the PlayStation 4 version of Battlefield 4 the two versions are way ahead of Battlefield 3. At 10 weeks before release it is 160,000 pre-orders ahead.
Call of Duty: Ghosts (X360) added 10,473 pre-orders, down from 12,015 last week, for a total of 482,204. The game is 553,000 pre-orders behind Black Ops II (X360). This is up from 514,000 pre-orders behind of Call of Duty: Black Ops II (X360) the previous week. The Xbox 360 version is eight weeks away from launch in the USA, November 5, 2013.
When you add in the Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Ghosts the two versions are a lot closer to Call of Duty: Black Ops II. At 10 weeks before release it is 239,000 pre-orders behind.
Call of Duty: Ghosts (PS3) added 6,725 pre-orders, up from 5,999 last week, for a total of 23,861. The game is 325,000 pre-orders behind Black Ops II (PS3). This is up from 313,000 pre-orders behind Call of Duty: Black Ops II (PS3) the previous week. The PlayStation 3 is eight weeks away from launch in the USA, November 5, 2013.
When you add in the PlayStation 4 version of Call of Duty: Ghosts the two versions are slightly behind Call of Duty: Black Ops II. At nine weeks before release it is 59,000 pre-orders behind.
Notable mentions: Pokémon X/Y (3DS) added 21,168 pre-orders for a total of 275,768. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (X360) added 5,850 pre-orders for a total of 143,944. FIFA Soccer 14 (X360) added 13,170 pre-orders for a total of 87,656.
Requests: Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate (PSV) added 716 pre-orders for a total of 16,795. Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate (3DS) added 553 pre-orders for a total of 10,992. Super Mario 3D World (WiiU) added 1,188 pre-orders for a total of 11,347.
