There is one game in the top 20 to be in its final week before launch. Sniper Elite V2 (X360) added 8,493 pre-orders in its final week for a grand total of 48,922. Sniper Elite V2 (PS3) added 5,872 pre-orders in its final week for a grand total of 39,200. As a reminder the Pro data is back up, which means that I am taking requests again for games outside the top 20.
The top three games have 200,000 or more pre-orders, the same as last week, and the top 11 has 100,000 or more pre-orders, up from ten last week. Three games added 20,000 or more, up from two last week and three added 10,000 or more, down from four last week.
Games in Final Week Before Launch
Sniper Elite V2 (X360) added 8,493 pre-orders in its final week for a grand total of 48,922. Expect first week sales in the USA to be in the 60,000 to 80,000 unit range. Expect Sniper Elite V2 (X360) to sell between 175,000 to 225,000 units by the time it stops selling. The first game in the series, Sniper Elite (XB) was released back in 2005 and there is no US sales data on the game.

Expect Sniper Elite V2 (PS3) to sell between 150,000 to 200,000 units by the time it stops selling. The first game in the series, Sniper Elite (PS2) was released back in 2005 and there is no US sales data on the game.
Major Performers – Week Ending April 28
Prototype 2 (X360) sales are expected to drop to around 65,000 units in its second week on sale. The PlayStation 3 version is expected to drop to around 40,000 units in its second week on sale.
Mass Effect 3 (X360) sales are expected to remain around 30,000 units. The PlayStation 3 version is expected to drop to around 12,000 units.
Hardware sales overall are expected to be relatively flat compared to the previous week.
Other Hot Games

Diablo III (PC) is at the top spot, as it added 70,444 pre-orders, up from 40,924 last week, for a total of 726.513. The game is three weeks away from launch, May 15 in North America and Europe.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (X360) is at number two, as it added 27,097 pre-orders, up from 27,047 last week, for a total of 329,768. The PlayStation 3 version is at number 11, as it added 4,747 pre-orders, up from 3,994 last, for a total of 102,128. The game is four weeks away from launch, May 22, 2012 in the USA.
Notable mentions: Assassin’s Creed III (X360) added 6,630 pre-orders for a total of 182,793 Assassin’s Creed III (PS3) added 3,321 pre-orders for a total of 115,456. Max Payne 3 (X360) added 7,632 pre-orders for a total of 130,387.
Requests: The Last Story (Wii) added 2,335 pre-orders for a total of 18,498. Grand Theft Auto V (X360) added just 101 pre-orders for a total of 15,224. Grand Theft Auto V (PS3) added just 153 pre-orders for a total of 6,800. Paper Mario (3DS) added 476 pre-orders for a total of 3,614.
