There are no games in the top 20 to be in its final week before launch. As a reminder the Pro data is back up, which means that I am taking requests again for games outside the top 20.
No games have 200,000 or more pre-orders, and the top five has 100,000 or more pre-orders, down from eight last week. Two games added 20,000 or more, up from one last week and eight added 10,000 or more, down from nine last week.
Games in Final Week Before Launch
There are no games in the top 20 to be in its final week before launch.
Major Performers in the U.S. – Week Ending December 1
Call of Duty: Black Ops II (X360) sales are expected to drop to around 625,000 units in its third week on sale. The PlayStation 3 version is expected to drop to around 375,000 units.
Halo 4 (X360) sales are expected to drop to around 350,000 in its fourth week on sale.
New Super Mario Bros. U (WiiU) sales are expected to drop to around 90,000 in its second week on sale.
Nintendo Land (Wii) sales are expected to drop to around 90,000 in its second week on sale.
Hitman: Absolution (X360) sales are expected to drop to around 85,000 in its second week on sale. The PlayStation 3 version is expected to drop to around 65,000 units.
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (PS3) sales are expected to drop to around 45,000 in its second week on sale.
Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two (Wii) sales are expected to drop to around 40,000 units in its second week on sale.
Persona 4: The Golden (PSV) sales are expected to drop to around 35,000 units in its second week on sale.
ZombiU (WiiU) sales are expected to drop to around 30,000 units in its second week on sale.
Overall hardware sales are expected to drop by about 30 percent. This is typical the week following Black Friday. Hardware sales after this week should steadily climb until Christmas week.
Other Hot Games
Bioshock Infinite (X360) added 11,187 pre-orders, up from 8,493 last week, for a total of 199,302. Bioshock Infinite (PS3) added 7,467 pre-orders, up from 6,016 last week, for a total of 121,975. The game is 14 weeks away from launch in the USA, February 26, 2013.
God of War: Ascension (PS3) added 10,843 pre-orders, up from 7,220 last week, for a total of 100,898. The game is 16 weeks away from launch in the USA, March 12, 2013.
Gears of War: Judgment (X360) added 4,071 pre-orders, down from 4,435 last week, for a total of 23,159. The game is 17 weeks away from launch in the USA, March 12, 2013. The game is way behind Gears of War III, but the game should start catching up once the holiday period ends and Microsoft starts advertising the game.
Notable mentions: Grand Theft Auto V (X360) added 23,909 pre-orders for a total of 23,909. Grand Theft Auto V (PS3) added 19,403 pre-orders for a total of 77,531. StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm (PC) added 23,750 pre-orders for a total of 89,922.
Requests: Tomb Raider (X360) added 2,259 pre-orders for a total of 32,391. Bayonetta 2 (WiiU) added 985 pre-orders for a total of 4,297. Lost Planet 3 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 entered the charts this week with just over 1,000 pre-orders.
