I like howtheir are 2 extreme opinions about the 3DS. The doomed one and the other that believe that it will sell 300mil +...

PSP on top despite no big selling new release. Impressive.

DS probably has one more Christmas in it? 10K nothing to sneeze at, but for DS it's pretty much swan song sales.

"All it needs are some good games"
"No, it is doomed no matter what. Even if an AAA game was released, it's still doomed"

Wow, even with the boost, the PSP still beat out the 3DS. PSP really has turned into a beast in Japan, lately. Play your cards just right, Sony, and you may have quite the success with the NGP/PSV.

So shortly after the drop following Golden Week boost, Japan sales are up again. This is very nice. Go Japan! :-)

Patapon 3 should become the best selling in the series in a few weeks. Currently it is Patapon 2 with 120,942 (through 2010, and including a budget release).

So, in Japan, a port of a licensed game is a system seller?

What a weird country.

Pandora's Tower, yet another game that should have done well and bombed.

I expected One Piece to do well, but I didn't expect a 40% boost to 3DS hardware.

This has been said over and over by the majority of people on here, but when it comes to Japan I'm still shocked every week to see just how influential sales wise the PSP has been over the last few months,I can't remember seeing a week in Japan where the PSP was second if I exclude the first two weeks of the 3DS release.
Good to see a rise this week in everything as well, except the DS but the a 3DS game on top and the 3DS rise makes up for it I think.
