It's amazing how strong DS software sales are so strong despite there being only 5 games for it on the chart. Even Mario is barely keeping 3DS software sales above DS ones!
just a massive numbers game, vgchartz tracks 2209 ds games as being over 10k sales with 170million consoles world wide that can play this massive choice of games it's no real wonder that even tho the games might not be charting there are still 10s of thousands of DS games sold daily. I personally finally picked up a copy of EBA and rhythm heaven this week in a special that gamestop had them at. so yeah not shocked that older DS games are still printing money for the big N
my numbers? ummm the game database found at the top of vgchartz :D mouseover game DB at the top, go to all systems, then DS and yeah I scrolled to the last game with .01m sales, which is 10k and yeah you're right that there are people with multiple systems of course, I had a DSphat and traded that in for a DSlite but it was in perfect condition and I have no doubt that someone will have purchased that and bought some games on it, I do have that DSlite and my 3DS tho so I do indeed still own more than my fair share :D As for gba family lol, myself I own 2 original Gba systems, one with an afterburner screen mod so it's backlite, a GBASP a tribal GBA, A link to the past Zelda triforce GBAsp and my beloved GBAmioh and ofc a gba player for my GC :D love me some nintendo and some collecting.
GBA micro not GBAmioh.... odd bug with ends of sentences when replying here.
:-( For Last Story. It's amazing how poor a game by the creator of Final Fantasy sells without the Final Fantasy name. I liked the game more then any recent Final Fantasy title.
Very disappointed that Mario Kart wii is only at 18. talk about short legs.
I know right, just 229 short weeks in the top 100 they can't have turned profit on that :D
"98 - Donkey Kong Country Returns" Still alive! :)
The price cut earlier this year probably helped.
Definitely seems like a good week for Nintendo.
yeah, with them staggering the launch of the XL and NSMB2 in each of the 3 regions it's made the last 3 weeks great looking for them, just hope it continues to buzz for a while now after each region has their new shinies for more than 7 days :)
"The PlayStation 3 has led every week this year and the Xbox 360 has been in second every week, except for the week ending January 7."
I love reading this sentence.
