Overview  

Two games in the top 20 are in their final week before launch. They include Homefront (X360) and Okamiden (DS). The top five games include Gears of War 3 (X360), LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (Wii), LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (DS), The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii), and Mortal Kombat (PS3). The top three games have 100,000 or more pre-orders. Four games add 10,000 or more pre-orders this week and 11 games add 5,000 or more pre-orders.

Games in final week before launch

Homefront (X360) is this week’s top game before launch. The game reached the seventh spot, as it added 8,000 pre-orders. It reached a grand total of 81,000 pre-orders. Expect first week sales in America to be in the 120,000 to 160,000 unit range.

OkamiDen (DS) is the only other game in the top 20 to be in its final week before launch. The game added 3,000 pre-orders for a final total of 48,000. Expect first week sales in America to be in the 75,000 to 100,000 unit range.

Other Hot Games

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars

Three versions of LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars are in the top 20, the DS, the Wii and the Xbox 360. They added a combined 27,000 pre-orders this week for a combined total of 285,000. The game is currently two weeks away from launch. The Wii and DS trade positions this week. The Wii version jumps up to the second position as it adds 12,000 pre-orders for a total of 111,000. The DS version is at number three as it adds 8,000 pre-orders for a total of 110,000. The X360 version is at number 14 with 6,000 new pre-orders this week for a total of 64,000.

Mortal Kombat

Two versions of Mortal Kombat are in the top 20, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. They add a combined 16,000 for a total of 164,000. The game is currently six weeks away from launch. The PlayStation 3 version is at number five as it adds 8,000 pre-orders for a total of 95,000. The Xbox 360 version is at number 12 as it adds 7,000 pre-orders for a total of 69,000.

Also in the top 10: Gears of War 3 (X360) reaches the top this week as last week’s number one launched. Gears of War 3 adds 12,000 pre-orders up from 9,000 the previous week. The game currently sits at 183,000 pre-orders. The game is currently 28 weeks away from launch.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii) at number four adds 2,000 pre-orders the same as last week. The game currently sits at 96,000 pre-orders. The game currently has no release date in America.

Metal Fight Beyblade (DS) at number six adds 1,000 pre-orders the same as the previous week. The game currently sits at 95,000 pre-orders and has no release date in America.

Diablo III (PC) at number eight adds 1,000 pre-order this week the same as last week. The game currently sits at a total of 79,000 and has no release date in America.

Brink (X360) at number nine adds 5,000 pre-orders up from 4,000 the previous week. The game currently sits at a total of 79,000 and is 10 weeks away from launch.

SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs (PS3) rounds out the top ten as it adds 6,000 pre-orders up from 5,000 last week. The game currently sits at a total 79,000 and is six weeks away from launch.

Notable mentions outside the top 10: Crisis 2 (X360) adds 6,000 pre-orders for a total of 69,000. NASCAR 2011: The Game for the Wii adds 11,000 pre-orders for the 44,000 and the PlayStation 3 adds 9,000 pre-orders for a total of 43,000.

Homefront will flop on PS3 just like Bulletstorm. it's not even on top 20 pre-order on PS3 lol. also Crysis 2 hehehe, nowhere to be seen on PS3 pre-order hahaha.

Crysis 2 gonna flop. Look at Xbox 360 version, there are 2 weeks to launch and it still don't pass 100 k. It will be huge fail like Bulletstorm (which was a huge disappointment itself, gameplay sux ). It's gonna be hard year for EA

Joel12345 - there are 5 360's for every 3 PS3's. It makes sence that pre-orders are of a grade higher. BTW Where are the 3DS games? I NASCAR honestly tracking above Super Street Fighter IV 3D??

Gears of War 3, 28 weeks to launch, gets the second more pre-orders this week? This game is going to rock hard, it's already tracking way above Halo Reach. Maybe this game can do more then 7 million..
