Everwild is a Game 'the World Doesn't Have and Hasn't Seen Before' - News

Rare has found success with its pirates-themed multiplayer game, Sea of Thieves, and is looking to continue the momentum of success with its upcoming game, Everwild. The game was announced back in November 2019 and has had two trailers released for it.

Rare lead designer James Blackham via his LinkedIn profile says Everwild is a game the world hasn't seen before and that it is a unique experience.

"Something unique is brewing at Rare," said Blackham. "It’s something the world doesn’t have and hasn’t seen before."

Everwild is in development for the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Thanks, GamingBolt.

Can't go wrong with that iconic Rare art style that they're known for.

I think this game could be a really fantastic one or a terrible one.
I hope this become something like the "Zelda breath of the wild" for Xbox. But we need some gameplay Rare..

Weather you like Rare or not, one of there motives i like is they always try new things. Their history of games is incredibly varied.

I've always thought Rare was fine under Microsoft. Some of those early 360 games still look amazing and play great. Kameo and Viva Pinata are honestly some of my go to 360 exclusives. And even Nuts N Bolts, I know how people feel about it, but Nuts N Bolts is a very exceptional and fun game to play. Im very curious to see what Everwild is like.

I am getting a very strong Pokemon vibe here. Meaning that it would appear that you commune with nature in some way that allows you to train or gather different animals. Each one has a specific set of skills that allow you to build on the world and explore new areas. The end part where they seem to summon a spirit beast may be one of the goals as you help with the world you gain spirit beast that bestow gifts or powers you name it.

Technically every game released is a game the world never had before. But ok.

I guess it comes down to the meaning of the words used. "Haven't seen it before" could mean it has game features or a story plot that is entirely new and never before seen where as the other meaning is we haven't seen the game yet as its not out. However games like Forza and GT we have seen before, much like EA's entire Sport division.

The difference is Kijima knew exactly what he was making. Norman Reedus said Kojima always had an answer for every question anyone asked. Everwild on the other hand is so original and unexpected even the devs don't know what it is!

Maybe, just maybe they have developed more of this game than that single statement and are just not talking about it right now.
