Goat Simulator designer Armin Ibrisagic has announced that the game has sold more than 2.5 million units worldwide. The game has sold one million units for the iOS, while the Android and PC versions make up the other 1.5 million units.

"Holy shit, Goat Simulator just reached 1 million sales on iOS. Combined with Android and PC sales, that makes a total of 2.5m copies sold!," said Ibrisagic on Twitter.

"Yeah, we can’t believe it either," Ibrisagic told GamesBeat. "It’s so amazing, though. It’s a huge morale boost at our office to know that so many people enjoy our games. This is the coolest shit ever."

Goat Simulator was released in April 2014 and was developed by Coffee Stain Studios.

It'd be interesting to see the actual playtime of these 2.5m buyers. Since it's quite cheap, most people probably bought it to goof around for a while and then never played it again.

Goatta give the devs some credit though, they achieved success with such a goofy game. I wonder how much profit they made with it.
