Sega Hires TV Producer to Adapt its Games for Films and TV - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 16 December 2014 / 2,789 ViewsSega has hired veteran former Break Media executive Evan Cholfin, according to Variety. He will work on developing Sega's video game IPs into films, television shows, and for digital platforms.
He will work with IPs such as Altered Beast, Streets of Rage, Shinobi, Rise of Nightmares, and Crazy Taxi to create live action and animated spinoffs. Virtua Fighter and Golden Axe are also part of the portfolio he could work with.
"With his impeccable taste and experience developing and producing entertainment in nearly every format imaginable, Evan is the unique executive to revitalize and canonize our partners’ brands by working with Hollywood to create stories that will last for centuries," said Stories president and CEO Tomoyo Suzuki.
