Doom 64 Headed to Switch on November 22 - News

Publisher Bethesda Softworks and developer id Software have announced Doom 64 is headed to the Nintendo Switch. It will launch on November 22.

now lets just hope that you don't need a Bethesda online account to get into this single player game lol, but seriously that's awesome that Doom64 is coming back, was a fantastic version of Doom.

I hope they are very careful to recreate or perfectly emulate the N64 music from this game, I remember it being distinctly N64'y sounding but also very much perfectly Doom. I heard they've messed up the audio with Doom 1/2 ports recently which is a shame for Doom because music and sound is a large part of the atmosphere of those titles.

Hopefully they dont make the same mistakes. Doom 64 also didn't have music but opted for a more ambiant sound track instead. Which was different and actually worked to its own strengths.

Assuming it comes to Xbox I will buy it. I actually played it on N64 but didn't enjoy it for various reasons. I'd like to give it another try on modern hardware.
