PlayStation Vita Production Ending Soon in Japan - News

Sony Interactive Entertainment is ending production of the PlayStation Vita "soon." The official Japanese PlayStation website says "shipments are scheduled to end soon" for the remaining two skus of the handheld.

The PlayStation Vita launched in Japan in December 2011 and in February 2012 in North America and Europe.

With the Vita ceasing production and the 3DS slowing down, this marks the end of the dedicated handhelds. For now on, hybrids and mobiles will be the go to option.
