God of War has debuted at the top of the UK charts, according to Chart-Track for the week ending April 21.

Sales for the game were below the first week sales of Horizon: Zero Dawn. However, it is the biggest launch for a game in the franchise in the UK. It sold 35 percent more than God of War III did in its debut.

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life was the only other new game in the top 10 as it debuted in third place. It is the biggest launch for the series ever in the UK.

Here are the top 10 best-selling titles (combined sales) for the week:

  1. God of War
  2. Far Cry 5
  3. Yakuza 6: The Song of Life
  4. FIFA 18
  5. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
  6. Super Mario Odyssey
  7. Fallout 4
  8. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds
  9. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  10. Grand Theft Auto V

Yeah. I think game pass would have a lot to do with it falling off the list. Mostly digital I'm sure.

I know that people like to whine about spoilers but it was it really necessary to illustrate *this* story with *that* screenshot? I'm several hours in and haven't got to that scene yet.

Its a shame it didn't sell more or equal to Horizon, but the concept of Robot Dinosaurs is really something new and interesting that its hard not buying.

Kinda disappointing it didn't outdo Horizon. GOW is more popular in NA, I think. Overall it should outperform Horizon but we'll see.
