I have to say, the more I see of this game the less interested I get. Dropping the familiar system of the first game for generic looking action RPG combat and little Pikmin ripoffs which over clutter the battlefield = fail. Dropping normal character designs on the overworld for a jarring change to chibi designs = fail. No Studio Ghibli involvement = fail. Reusing most of NNK1's soundtrack instead of composing new tracks = fail. I don't even like the new main character designs that much. Sigh.

Played Wrath of the White Witch and loved it on the PS3. Revenant Kingdom doesn't seem to be grabbing my attention as much, at least with whats been shown so far.. Have to say though, the game does look really pretty. I'll probably buy it anyway to fill my JRPG void on the PC, last JRPG for PC i bought was Berseria, hoping this will impress me just as much.

I thought I was the only one who felt this way. This seems somewhat detached and soulless from the spirit of the original game. It looks great, but that's about all I can say about it at this point. But yeah, I need to play the game to get the full effect, so hopefully it's better than what has been shown.

I was hoping the battle system would be more turn based but it almost looks like a pure action game.

The new combat system looks sooooo much better than the first game, and I love the overworld conquest minigame goin' on at the beginning of the video! This looks loads better than the original, imo.
