If people didn't complain, they would just keep going with the crap events. This was for the better.
True... true.
Damn he makes me feel bad for being disappointed. I hope Nintendo does do better. Still excited for the games coming this year though.
I am sure Nintendo will! :-)
If they learned their lesson from E3 2013 to an outstanding E3 2014, I am sure they will be able to do it again!

Meh, I'm pretty sure Iwata knew they wouldn't have any gigaton announcements, and in any case, it's hard to compete with what Sony had to show this year. There are still other games coming out on the Wii U that I am looking forward to, and I will probably pick up Star Fox Zero.
At least he's aware that this year's presentation was terrible.
It would be the worst ( or tied for worst with Sony's 2006 E3 conference ) E3 conference ever if they unveil a new home console but still have a conference which is worse than this year's.
Nintendo E3 2008 was worse
allways the same history..
we have learn about mistakes, we know and we´ll work hard to the future...
next E3 nintendo shows new console.
i hope they put WII U for $99.
I know i'm gonna get rampaged for saying this but it seems nintendos focus is more on amiibos and making as much money from them than creating different, new and unique games that was their spiel back in the day.
It's not enough :(
Don't do better at Presentations. Make a better console. You want our opinion? 3RD party fills in the gaps when 1stP is being made. Look at the PS4 for an example. Uncharted, Last Guardian, Horizon, Bloodborne. All 1st P being made while 3rd Party picks up the rest.
Iwata has said "we will do better in the future" or some paraphrase of that since early in the Wii u life- It is just talk- they never did better they never tried w the Wii U
What else would anyone expect him to say- we will try to do worse? No he will say they will try harder and do whatever the heck they want -
Dude already knows he has a hardware reveal coming nxt year. I won't be buying it though. Not until there's strong first and third party support. Nintendo needs to learn to invest in their own IP.
nintendo, all you had to do was some teasers for future games and you would have been fine. Not everything has to be playable to get excited about
And if they show those teasers while the games are still years away, people will bitch anyway. There's a reason Bethesda didn't announce Fallout 4 until it was only six months away even though they've been working on it all this time.

It wasn't that bad Iwata.... haters gonna hate.
Unfortunately it was a lot of Nintendo fans who were highly critical of the event. So are Nitnendo fans turning on each other and calling out critics within its own ranks haters? That's a bad sign.
There, everybody happy now?
Yes. :p
