The Minecraft success story continues as the game crosses the 20 million mark. The announcement was Tweeted by Mojang developer Jens Bergensten who also said the PC version of the game passed nine million units sold on October 21.

Bergensten later Tweeted that Minecraft: Pocket Edition is the bestselling version of the game with 7.3 million units sold. That version was around five million units sold in November.

Earlier this month Mojang announced Minecraft sold 15 million units across all platforms in 2012. The PC / Mac version of the game sold 4.18 million units in 2012, the Xbox 360 version 5.00 million units and the mobile version 5.90 million units.

PC edition has sold over 9m, but Pocket Edition is the best-selling edition at 7.3m. Seems legit.

Looking at what Jeb actually tweeted, didn't say PE is the best-selling edition; he said it's fastest-selling.
