Capcom Posts Record 6 Month Sales, Resident Evil 6 Ships 4.5M Units - News

Revenue for the six months increased 55.7 percent year-over-year to 45.5 billion yen ($570 million). Profits increased 355.1 percent to 4.1 billion yen ($51 million).
Resident Evil 6 was the main driver which shipped 3.7 million units at the end of September and 4.5 million units as of October 4. Dragon's Dogma passed one million in sales and Resident Evil: Outbreak Survive has reached two million registered users.
The Arcade Operations division was the one negative for the period. Revenue dropped by seven percent to 5.6 billion yen ($70 million). Capcom has closed two arcades which were not profitable. The company has 35 arcades worldwide.
Revenue for the six month period broke a company record since the mid-term report started in the fiscal year which ended on March 31, 2001.

Good to see things are going quite well for Capcom. It will be good when Resident Evil 6 sales pick up some more.
Actually after having studied the reports in detail I discovered that Dragon's Dogma already had shipped 1.05 million in the previous quarter (2nd Q of FY 2012, ending June 30) and in this quarter it shipped another 150k for a total of 1.2 million copies.
And the best thing of all is that Capcom explicitly said in the report that Dragon's Dogma will become a series! So the upcoming DLC expansion "Dark Arisen" is only the beginning.
Yes, Dragon's Dogma passed 1 million! It's not much but every copy counts if we're going to get a sequel to this amazing game.
