USA Preorders Chart, 18 February 2012 - Asura's Wrath - News

Overview

There is one game in the top 30 to be in its final week before launch, Asura’s Wrath (PS3). The top five games include Mass Effect 3 (X360), Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (X360), Kinect Star Wars (X360), Mass Effect 3 (PS3), and Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City (X360).

The top three games have 200,000 or more pre-orders, down from four last week, and the top 7 has 100,000 or more pre-orders, down from 12 last week. One game adds 20,000 or more, down from two last week and five add 10,000 or more, down from six last week.

Games in final week before launch

Asura’s Wrath (PS3) is the lone game to be in its final week before launch. The game added 4,000 pre-orders for a final total of 38,000. Expect first week sales in the USA to be in the 55,000 to 70,000 unit range.

Mass Effect 2 pre-orders vs Mass Effect 3 pre-orders

Mass Effect 3 (X360) is at the top of the USA pre-order charts, as it adds 107,000 pre-orders, up from 66,000 last week, for a total of 762,000. It has nearly doubled the number of pre-orders as its predecessor, Mass Effect 2 (X360). The game is three weeks away from launch, March 6, 2012 in the USA.

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City Pre-orders

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City (X360) is up three spots to number five, as it adds 9,000 pre-orders, up from 7,000 last week, for a total of a 140,000. The PlayStation 3 version is up four spots to number six, as it adds 12,000 pre-orders, up from 9,000 last week, for a total of 138,000. The game is five weeks away from launch, March 20 in the USA.

Xenoblade Chronicles Pre-orders

Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii) is up five spots to number seven, as it adds 3,000 pre-orders, the same as last week, for a total of 112,000. The game is seven weeks away from launch, April 2, 2012 in the USA.

Also in the top 10: Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (X360) is up one spot to number two, as it adds 4,000 pre-orders, the same as last week, for a total of 215,000. The game has been pushed back to May 22 in the USA.

Kinect Star Wars (X360) is up one spot to number three, as it adds 3,000 pre-orders, up from 2,000 last week, for a total of 214,000. The game is seven weeks away from launch, April 3, 2012 in the USA.

Mass Effect 3 (PS3) is up three spots to number four, as it adds 15,000 pre-orders, up from 11,000 last week, for a total of 172,000. The game is three weeks away from launch, March 6, 2012 in the USA.

Street Fighter X Tekken (PS3) is up seven spots to number eight, as it adds 5,000 pre-orders, up from 4,000 last week, for a total of 91,000. The game is three weeks away from launch, March 6, 2012 in the USA.

SSX (PS3) is up nine spots to number nine, as it adds 10,000 pre-orders, up from 8,000 last week, for a total of 88,000. The game is two weeks away from launch, February 28 in the USA.

Max Payne 3 (X360) is up six spots to number 10, as it adds 2,000 pre-orders, the same as last week, for a total of 85,000. The game is 13 weeks away from launch, May 15 in the USA.

Notable mentions outside the top 10: SSX (X360) adds 11,000 pre-orders for a total of 81,000. Mass Effect 3 (PC) adds 4,000 pre-orders for a total of 80,000. Tales of Graces f (PS3) adds 7,000 pre-orders for a total of 61,000.

Requests have been put on hold for now because the VGC Pro data is still being worked on.

SSX appears to be in it's final week on last week's chart, yet here it isn't (Which is good, because apperantly it's not released yet)

I was wondering how Tales of Graces jumped so many spots.

Maybe a software malfunction? Numbers match, but it seems some games are omitted.
