PlayStation to Skip Gamescom in August - News

Sony Interactive Entertainment has told German website GamesWirtschaft it won't be attending Gamescom 2022, which is set to take place in Cologne, Germany from August 24 to 28.

Nintendo, Activision Blizzard, Take-Two Interactive, nd Wargaming have previously stated they won't be attending.

Gamescom organizers have previously stated that over 250 companies will attend this year. So far only Bandai Namco, THQ Nordic, and Koch Media have confirmed to be attending. 

PlayStation to Skip Gamescom in August

Gamescom 2022 will be a hybrid event as it will take place in person and online. It kicks off on August 23 with the Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase.

They gonna be too busy watching the aj usky rematch....hehe
I dont blame Sony, these marketing events are a waste of budgets in this day and age. Digital events (SOP, ND) do a better job at showing off their content and keep the community engaged and informed.

AJ all the way, he at least gotta beat on Usky, boxing him is out of the question.

Not sure about that. I think Aj was was flawless in the opening of the first ruiz , where he set up beautiful combos and dropped him, before getting careless and brawling. I want to see AJ back to that form, fighting smart and setting up combinations.

Not true. I've seen Aj land some great shots. He just isn't consistent, that's his main issue.

It looks like that the traditional events are something from the past to be relevant for the gaming industry. Damn, I liked those big shows of the 3 big console manufacturers live on stage.
