Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 Day 1 Patch is Larger Than the Actual Game - News

The day one patch for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 is larger than the actual game.

The download size for the game itself is just 4.6GB, which is comparatively little by today's standards, but the day one patch is 7.7GB. To compare, Batman: Arkham Knight is 45GB and The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is over 40GB.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 released today in North America for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will release this Friday in Europe. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions are set to release in November.

Thanks The Games Cabin.

THPS1-THUG were all superior games and all of them shipped 100% complete without any patches whatsoever. There's no excuse for this.

Well, it hasn't changed. We all had to put up with those 10gb patches for the originals back in the PS1 era... I'm starting to suspect soon they will just ship some textures and Dummies guide to programming so you can finish developing the game yourself.

this isn't a patch, this is the way to get your console full in 0 seconds, If I were in the people who bought the game I would complain to the produces since they promised a game of a certain file size while they then more than doubled it on D1
