The Vive developer model comes with two 1200 x 1080 displays that run at 90fps. HTC says that will get rid of any jitter and have "photorealistic imagery." The display will use a person's entire field of vision with a 360 degree view. The headset uses an accelerometer, laser position sensor and gyrosensor to track a person's head movement up to 1/10th of a degree.

HTC plans to have a big presence at GDC next week. Developers will be given the chance to try out the headset. Watch the announcement trailer here.
