Report: Nintendo Switch to Support Up to 128GB Micro SD Cards - News

by William D'Angelo , posted on 01 November 2016 / 8,690 Views

Several sources earlier reported that the Nintendo Switch would support a 6.2 inch, 720p, capacitive multi-touch screen.

Another source has told LetsPlayVideoGames the Nintendo Switch development kit supports Micro SDXC cards up to 128 GB in size. That is similar to the Nintendo 3DS, which support Micro SD up to 2GB and Micro SDHC up to 32GB.

It is unclear if the retail version of Nintendo Switch will support Micro SD cards of the same size.

Nintendo will reveal the Switch release date, price and games lineup on January 12.

Not a minimum of 1TB storage out of the box? Why is this sold as a home console? Ninth generation looks really bad for me.

Will the Switch support more than one SD card? That could solve people's worries about its memory.

The Nintendo Switch is more like a handheld consols system than a home console, so I don't have a problem with that.

The system is a home/handheld hybrid console. Why shouldn't it support micro SD cards?

No problem, I think the Micro SD is a given, it should be there for portable stuff, but you need an internal harddisk, it seems like that should be the main reason for the docking station since nintendo keeps insisting its a home console first
