Ys Net Hires 3D Graphic Designer Behind Shenmue HD Fan Project - News

NoconKid, the 3D Graphic Designer behind the Shenmue HD fan project, will be joining Ys Net to work on Shenmue III.
The South Korean modder has spent the past few years recreating the classic Dreamcast game in Unreal Engine 4.
While this does leave the fan project in a tough spot, it's great news for Shenmue III backers. Shenmue III is currently scheduled to release in late 2017 for PC and PS4.

Sega should be the one to release Shenmue HD on every console out there to let the younger audience or people who have never played the Shenmue series to experience the games. It would also generate more hype for Shenmue 3 which is always a plus!
Im confident about that nocon kid cause im sure he has many works allready finished that they could implement in the game right away
