Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Hits New Sales Milestone - News

The Minecraft success story continues, as 4J Studios announces that Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has sold more than seven million units. The game passed the six million mark in March and is the bestselling Xbox Live Arcade title.

"Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has now sold over 7 MILLION copies !!! ," Tweeted the developer.

At E3, Microsoft announced Minecraft: Xbox One Edition. The game will feature bigger worlds and multiplayer than the Xbox 360 version of the game.

The PC version of Minecraft has sold more than 11 million units to date, while Minecraft Pocket Edition passed the 10 million mark in May.

I like how they say the xboxone will feature bigger worlds in minecraft... Because if you really care about bigger worlds you wouldn't just go with the PC version where you can create a world 6x the size of the Earth.

I would say that sales of Minecraft through ALL consoles and devices are somewhere near 30 MILLION.
