Via press release: Dead Space 2: Severed adds two stand-alone single-player chapters featuring security officer Gabe Weller who comes with a unique security suit and an upgraded Pulse Rifle. Weller is from Dead Space: Extration and we're told the Twitcher, a creature from the original Dead Space, is back as well.
Available for 560 Microsoft Points or $6.99 on the PlayStation Network Available March 1st for US residents. Available in Europe March 2nd.
