The Force Unleashed III Not Canceled - Being "Figured Out" - News

Earlier reports suggested that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed III was canceled before the second iteration of the series was even released, but now, Julio Torres, the project leader on the games, has said that it is simply not true. He does imply some trouble regarding its development, however, saying that it is being "figured out".

When speaking with SciFiNow magazine, he said that they'll be looking at a third game considering how Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II ends and how it would fit into the timeline.

“Well I can’t tell you how the game ends because that would ruin it for you, but I can tell you that the timeframe for The Force Unleashed and TFU II is about a year, and there’s still, between that and Episode IV, a couple of years for us to play with,” he said.

“So that means no matter how the game ends for Starkiller and Vader for TFU II, we still have some time to figure out how we solidify the canon so that everything makes sense for IV.”

He continued by saying that “Obviously, if that were to be exposed, it would most likely be a TFU III. I’m just afraid I can’t share what that could be yet because we’re still figuring it out. I cautioned that…the key is that, that time is still left.”

“If we had finished TFU II and we were up against the timeframe, we would probably have been done.”

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II will be released on October 26th in the US and October 29th in Europe for DS, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360.

"...we still have some time to figure out how we solidify the canon so that everything makes sense for IV."

Seriously??? The whole premise of the series is pissing all over SW canon that was established as far back as 1977. TFU was a real eye-roller on its own, geared toward the same demographic that watches crap like The Jersey Shore; the fact that they took it upon themselves re-write the history of SW makes it even more irrelevant. Good riddance I say.

So I was going to ask if this game had Wii motion plus but I decided to do a quick search on it and GoNintendo said it didn't :( GoNintendo said they have an unofficial source that says there will be another StarWars game after this which will have motion plus support -_-
