Voted by fans to star in the Madden 11 cover, beating Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen and Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne, New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees got a gift that every player in the league would kill to get. Looking good there, champ.
At least, that's what he thinks:“The Madden NFL franchise holds a special place in popular culture and the cover is a coveted position for players all over the league. I’m honored to be the first cover athlete chosen by Madden NFL fans and it’s a great way to cap off an amazing year for the Saints and the city of New Orleans.”.
Quite a few people would disagree with him, because of the infamous "Madden Curse". Reportedly, many of the players that got their spot in the Madden cover got injured and thus, their performance decreased. But it's just a myth, right?

Jesus fuckin christ, at least put jared allen on the cover. This is the worst day ever, at least for me. I love madden despite its broken promises over the years, but this is about the only thing that will stop me from buying it, one of the reasons why we lost the super bowl is the dude on the cover, ughhhhhhhhhhh. Ill still buy it, but im takin that damn cover out.
