Wii did really good
Yes it did , this graph will get interesting toward month 72 where the Wii flatlines , iirc PS4 was in a similar position, doing ok during the year but losing out to the holiday sales of the Wii ,but its post 72 month sales performance allowed it to surpass the Wii it will be interesting to see if the PS5 can replicate the Ps4's sales post 6th year sales .
Thanks for helping explain the graph too me. Sometimes I get confused by this graphs at times.
The yes it did is me replying to you , the rest is me talking about the comparison ,so no need to be sarcastic.
just imagine how good Wii LTD numbers would’ve been had it not completely flatlined after four years. Seeing how it’s currently crushing PS5 (as well pretty much all other consoles at this point), it would’ve been insane.
This is an easy win for PS5 though, no doubt it’s passing Wii. Identical situation to PS4 at the moment.
If Wii was easier to develop for than it already was, and Nintendo put more enthusiasm in the software from 2011 onward it probably could have approached 120 million or more lifetime.
It really hit a decline after Holiday 2010. and was really weak after Holiday 2011.
PS5 is more consistent and will surpass the Wii globally at some point. The only PlayStation home console Wii ever outsold lifetime was the PS3 (its contemporary).
The PS4 crossed Wii in month 65 and outsold it in month 73. I think both will happen with PS5 as well, but maybe a bit later.
agree, im positive the PS5 will outsell the Wii
