The sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was the most talked about game from E3 2021 on Twitter, revealed a blog post from Twitter. Nintendo showcased a new trailer for the highly anticipated game, as well as announcing it will launch in 2022

Elden Ring, which had a gameplay reveal trailer shown during Summer Game Fest Kickoff Live!, was the second most talked about game on Twitter. It will launch for the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 21, 2022.

Electronic Arts unveiled the next entry in the Battlefield series, Battlefield 2042, with a trailer ahead of E3 and during the Xbox and Bethesda showcase released the gameplay trailer. It was the third most talked about game. 

Two Xbox exclusives, Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5, were the fourth and fifth most talked about games on Twitter from E3 2021. Halo Infinite will launch in Holiday 2021 and Forza Horizon 5 will launch on November 9.

Here are the top five most talked about games from E3 2021 on Twitter:

Top 5 titles had gameplay footage / clips . I hope all companies take notice. Cinematic or concept reveals are not very interesting.

Obsidion trailers in general are just good entertainment. The Grounded trailers also get afew laughs.

Ubisoft is publishing Battlefield 2042?! I guess they must have secretly purchased EA! All jokes aside, I'm a bit disappointed to see that Metroid Dread didn't break the top 5 but it's a fairly niche franchise so it makes sense.

The games in the top 5 were either expected because they were previously announced, from more popular franchises, or games with a more mainstream genre.

Metroid on the other hand has a small, passionate fan base. But it only takes one game to finally break through to the mainstream. Maybe dread will be the one.

Yeah for sure. It got a ton of hype and views on YouTube so I'm guessing it was close to the top 5.

Still doesn't have a title though just BOTW sequel lol,
For bnew IP elden ring deserves number one,

Everybody knows legend of Zelda already of course it's a hype machine,
Elden ring a myth for 2 years was much more impressive.
