Publisher Square Enix and developer Toylogic have announced NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… has gone gold.  That means principal development for the game is complete and what is left is to fix bugs that might be discovered. 

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… will launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on April 23.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… is an updated version of NieR Replicant, previously only released in Japan.

The protagonist is a kind young man living in a remote village. In order to save his sister Yonah, who fell terminally ill to the Black Scrawl, he sets out with Grimoire Weiss, a strange talking tome, to search for the “Sealed verses.”

Experience the NieR Replicant story for the first time in the west through the eyes of the protagonist as a brother.

This game was largely a hidden gem ignored by the masses now getting over hyped becoz of nier automata, hopefully this game doesn't make people expect to much haha

From what I can tell they're doing a lot more than what the term "updated version" would suggest, so it's not like it will be the same game that released back then. But it is true that living up to Automata would be a very tall order.

Actually if you look for games exclusive to Japan and several mangas/animes that didn't got released worldwide you'll see a lot of very long names =p must be common over there.
