Capcom Updates Its Best-Sellers Lists - Monster Hunter: World at 16.1 Million, Resident Evil 3 at 2.7 Million, More - Sales

Capcom has its list of Platinum Titles, games that have sold over one million units as of June 30, 2020. The list includes 102 games with sales over one million units, 44 over two million units, seven over five million units, and one over 10 million units sold.
Monster Hunter: World sold 400,000 units in the first quarter to bring lifetime sales to 16.1 million units. Resident Evil VII: biohazard sold 400,000 units to bring lifetime sales to 7.9 million units and Resident Evil 2 sold 600,000 units to bring sales to 7.2 million units.
The remake of Resident Evil 3 in its first appearance on the charts sold 2.7 million units.

Holy freaking hell GOOD JOB RE2. 2 years behind RE7 and RE2 is under a million behind. I think RE2 is going to end up becoming the biggest selling RE game of all time. Wow, has way more sales than I expected actually. So freaking well deserved!
RE3 seem a bit low to me, but they said it meet their projection, so it is good.

Yessss. RE7 is now the best-selling title in the franchise. Oh how many people will need to serve some fresh crow :-D
Sure if you ignore that Re4,Re5, and RE6 have their sales spread across multiple releases not reflected in this list.
RE7 still did pretty damn good. And It hasn't had a chance for remakes or remasters like the other games have. Devil May Cry 5 did pretty decently too.
Capcom must be rich now
i love to see such great numbers for MHW, hope Capcom keeps MH on PC/PS/Xbox, it's much better this way.
Awesome sales for Monster Hunter World, after Monster Hunter Street Fighter 2 on the SNES is the most impressive with it only being on one system.
can't believe re7 outsold re5 but technically re5 is still in the lead with other versions of the game like the ps4 ver plus 1.8 mil
It's crazy. Around the time GTA V came out, news articles were all over the place saying Capcom was almost out of money and people were speculating that Nintendo or Sony would buy them at fire sale prices, especially when Sony assisted in the development of Street Fighter V. Capcom sure turned the ship around. They joined the Ten Million Club with MH World.
Again, good thing Capcom drop the portable monster hunter games. Once that MHW + Iceborne drops to $20 the game will reach more than 20 million units copies.
Also, at this pace it seems that RE2R will become the best selling RE.
And SFV sold more than SFIV
I'm a big fan of SFV but it's clear that this list combines the the sales of all SF V releases into one while all the SF IV entries are separated saleswise by release. SF IV is ahead by several million.
