Google Stadia Sees Significant Growth Following Free Access for Two Months - News

The week following the announcement of free premium for two months saw a record number of installs, beating out the launch in November 2019, with around 225,000 on iOS and Android, according to research firm Sensor Tower.
The Google Stadia mobile app has surpassed one million installs worldwide. The app is required to use the service and configure the Stadia controller.

Free use, available to PCs and Smartphones, months since release and only 1M downloads that is laughable.

Still a laughably low number. I would figure that most people who use it would try this function out just for the sake of it, let's not forget, it's still a core-centric service at the moment. The truth is that the price of admission is way to high, just because you need to buy a full priced game, ona service that will likely won't be around if you are planning to play the game this christmas. 60$ well spent...
So far, this thing has been a slightly more successful version of OnLive and Ouya.

The race to the bottom in the App Store and Google Play began when Apple and Google started offering "free" (emphasis on quotes) as a price point.
Well they can start to offer us money to play there.
Still too high of a price, man.
