Square Enix via Twitter has released new visual art for Final Fantasy VII Remake that features the main characters of the game.

"Combining incredible visuals, stunning world-design, a glorious musical score, seamless strategic action-based combat, and a captivating cast of characters, Final Fantasy VII Remake is almost upon us," reads the text from the tweet.

Here is an overview of the game:

Rebuilding and expanding upon the legendary RPG for today, Final Fantasy VII Remake tells the story of a world fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as mako energy. In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic adventures that await him.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will launch for the PlayStation 4 on April 10.

Now that is one glorious, EPIC shot of the cast. The 5 original, main characters. The others don;t show up till much later in the adventure. These are the characters that made it out of Midgar alive haha and now they are standing there watching upon the horizon to see where their journey leads?
Sigh I'm honestly freaking out how I'm going to react when the special edition box is on my hands. I want to live to play this game, but the day it comes out is the day I might not survive as the blood pressure boils throughout my body.

Yeah, VI should definitely be the next remake.
VI, IV and VII, closely followed by IX are my favourite titles in the series. But VI would greatly benefit from updated gameplay and storytelling. Even though it was tied with Chrono Trigger as best storytelling from the 16 bits consoles gen.
