8 GB? Wow. For a console with heavily optimized games, this will bring VERY smooth results...
But the PS4 has always had 8GB of GDDR5 Ram.
Its more than enough. GPU and pricing make it seem pretty solid, but if this is the best design they were able to bake, I can safely say I will award Sony the "ugliest console designers" award for life...
They are making electronics, not buildings!
CPU and GPU share the same pool of data in the memory, PC use separate Memory for CPU and GPU so dat have to come and go between and have to be duplicated on both.these.
