Ghostbusters Developer Fireforge Files for Bankruptcy - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 01 August 2016 / 8,247 ViewsThree days following the release of the new Ghostbusters game, developer Fireforge Games has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, according to Kotaku.
The bankruptcy has very little to do with the Ghostbusters game. The company has been liquidating assets throughout the month of July in order to pay off $12 million in debt.

Fireforge was founded in 2011 by ex-Blizzard employee Tim Campbell. The developer stated and stopped production at two MOBA projects over the last five years. One of the games was codenamed Zeus and was to be published by Razer, while the other was codenamed Atlus and funded by Chinese publisher Tencent, which own a 37 percent stake in Fireforge.
The bankruptcy filling shows Fireforge owes $11.3 million to Tencent and has been in a lawsuit with in Productions, owned by Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan.
