Welcome to the VGChartz Gap charts. The charts will be updated monthly and each article will focus on a different gap chart. The charts include comparisons between the 7th generation and 8th generation, as well as comparing the 8th generation consoles. All sales are worldwide, unless otherwise stated.
3DS Vs. PlayStation Vita Global:
Gap change in latest month: 263,298 – 3DS
Gap change over last 12 months: 7,869,347 – 3DS
Total Lead: 42,210,174 – 3DS
3DS Total Sales: 52,700,064
PlayStation Vita Total Sales: 10,489,890
In the latest month the gap grew another 263,298 units in favor of the 3DS, while the gap grew by 7.87 million units over the last 12 months. The 3DS currently leads by 42.21 million units.
The 3DS did beat the PlayStation Vita to the market by 10 months. The 3DS launched in February 2011, while the Vita launched in December 2011. The 3DS has sold 52.70 million units, while the Vita has sold 10.49 million units.

It's stupid you can't compare a 3DS to PS4. One is a handheld the other is a console. One is cheaper the other is not. One has lower specs the other is not.....Might as well compare oranges to apples in your world...
Except VgChartz still compares PS4 and Wii, and WIi is cheaper and has lower specs. Also it being a handheld doesn't matter at all

Trying to transform the article into something bad for Nintendo. Pathetic.
Just comparing the 2 biggest commerical fails of this generation, I even got a Wii U and a PS4, and for the record I prefer the last one big time yeah. Since it is the most ridicilous Nintendo console ever, almost fully living on sequels except Splatoon and W101 (which is quite awesome).
MS is nothing compared to it. Same counts for the Vita , it are undersupported consoles and deserve to be slaughtered.
