"Thirteen years ago, Xbox made gaming history with the release of Halo: Combat Evolved," read the news post. "Then, ten years ago, Halo 2 changed the face of gaming forever. To date, more than 60 million copies of Halo games have been sold worldwide, driving over 6 billion hours of gameplay by fans connected to Xbox Live."

Halo 3 is the bestselling game in the franchise with sales of 11.93 million units at retail. Halo: Reach has sold 9.60 million units, Halo 4 has sold 9.12 million units, and Halo 2 has sold 8.49 million units. The original Halo, Halo: Combat Evolved. has sold 6.43 million units and the remake has sold 2.27 million units.

Some will but an increasing amount of Europeans are choosing PS4. Even the British are now choosing PS4 instead of xbox.

10 years.. 60 million sold. 4 games. and now a complete remake.. the same people are buying the same games.. let's count it as 60 million sold.

4? I think you're forgeting Halo: Reach, Halo: ODST, Halo: Wars, Halo: Spartan Assault, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, plus Halo: CE & Halo 2 were also available on PC.

All of that makes 60 m which is impressive nonetheless.

It's not impressive. 12 games/versions = 60 millions isn't impressive. I liked the first game.. but them all are pretty much the same: Run, shoot, die and re-spawn. Reach atleast got upgraded in the graphical section... FPS are easy simple games anyway.. People are buying them for the multiplats.. they should just kill the story lines, cause the story sucked.. there is no story.. it's mission briefings.. that's it

Not really. That doesn't take into account games that shipped over the years but weren't sold.

That can't be that many. There is no recent Halo game and even Halo 4 isn't selling that much weekly. All Halo games on 360 sell 7-9k combined each week.

What we do know though is that over 1m gamers own Halo Reach digitally as that was part of a holiday bundle in 2011.

I do not believe there is a lot of Halo games standing on shelves right now...

Are you saying you can walk into any shop and see brand new Halo games sitting on store shelves? If so tell me where because I could do with some brand new copies.

Wait, are you really saying there can't be more than 30.000 copies that shipped and weren't sold around the freaking world? We're not talking about a niche game here.
@Azzanation. Where did I say "any shop"?
