Ahead of The Last of Us Remastered launch on the PlayStation 4 later this week, the original has crossed the seven million mark. The sales figure was announced by Naughty Dog's Arne Meyer at a presentation dealing with the next-gen version of the game attended by IGN.

Meyer also announced that new multiplayer DLC will be released later this year for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. It was also made known that there is no new single player DLC being worked on.

For The Last of Us Remastered it was also announced that the framerate can be locked at 30 FPS and the control layout can be changed. If you have purchased in-game content you won't need to buy them again for the PlayStation 4.
