Good sales by everyone, but i still can't believe that the masses are still buying the Wii. Look at the software trend on Wii, even with 15 m more Wii's, they are selling less software than last year?

The PS3 had nothing, except GT5 this holiday season. No redesign, no price drop and only one major exclusive release (which sold 5 million in roughly 2 months). PS3's numbers were great. Now if LittleBigPlanet 2, KillZone 3, Socom 4, DC Universe Online and Resistance 3 (speculated) had released in holiday 2010 (September - December) as originally planned......

@ Nintendology - "What is really telling however, is how the Playstation 3 is starting to consistently outsell the Xbox 360" This makes no sense, its actually the other way around since the PS3 has been in third place for 9 weeks straight. If you are talking about the total for the whole year then the PS3 did beat the Xbox 360 but only by under 400,000.

Nintendology (on 07 January 2011)

The story doesn't change much. The Wii still dominated even with a decrease in sales. All they really need to do is drop the price and those numbers will pick up once again. What is really telling however, is how the Playstation 3 is starting to consistently outsell the Xbox 360. It won't be long before it catches up. The battle for second place will be a tight one.

It's so sad to see the drops post-Christmas lol But Xbox 360 numbers are brilliant and PS3 numbers are also surprising, I thought it would be lower then 2010 for that week.
