PlayStation 5 Will Feature a Revamped User Interface

PlayStation 5 Will Feature a Revamped User Interface - News

Sony's next generation, the PlayStation 5, will feature a revamped user interface that is very different from the PlayStation 4. This is according PlayStation 5 system architect Mark Cerny speaking exclusively with WIRED.

"Even though it will be fairly fast to boot games, we don't want the player to have to boot the game, see what's up, boot the game, see what's up," Cerny said.

"Multiplayer game servers will provide the console with the set of joinable activities in real time. Single-player games will provide information like what missions you could do and what rewards you might receive for completing them—and all of those choices will be visible in the UI. As a player you just jump right into whatever you like."

The PlayStation 5 will launch in Holiday 2020.

As long as they keep it slim, and sleak, and easy to use.

Keep it simple please. Don't turn the simple UI presented in current ps4 in a confusing mess like xbox UI ( talking about 2016 and early xbox UI, no idea how it looks now...).
Improve it, but keep it clean and easy to undrestand/navigate.

Nah, I'd be quite disappointed if PS5's OS was as feature-lite as the Switch.
