Rumor: Red Dead Redemption Remake in Development - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 01 August 2019 / 4,034 ViewsA rumor has appeared online that Rockstar Games is currently developing a remake of the original Red Dead Redemption with a release in late 2020 or early 2021. That could mean a cross-gen released on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Scarlett.
The rumor states the remake is bringing over features from Red Dead Redemption 2 and the map is being made bigger. Rob Wiethoff, the voice actor of John Marston, is also being brought back to record new dialogue to help connect the story between Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Redemption.
The same rumor also mentions a Red Dead Redemption 2 story DLC featuring aliens is also in development.
This should be treated as a rumor until confirmed by Rockstar Games.

But why...
This could make sense in some ways, with a map more alogned to RDR2's and maybe some for tie-ins with RDR2 characters who survived (ie Sadie and Charles) but weren't in the original RDR.
I'd buy a Switch version.....
Great. Red Dead Redemption 1 is now going to be as boring as Red Dead Redemption 2. I'm looking forward to maintaining my "cores", hunting, cooking, taking care of my horse, and getting arrested when my only crime is self-defense.
Looks like we played different games,it was so easy to maintain those cores that it never got in my way and other games also got health and stamina items.
Day one then.
What's the point of remaking it when gameplay in rockstar games hasn't evolved at all over the last decade.
