Konami 50th Anniversary Collection Series Announced for NS, PS4, X1, PC - News

Konami has announced the Konami 50th Anniversary Collection series for the Nintendo PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. There will be three games in the series - Konami Anniversary Collection: Arcade Classics, Castlevania Anniversary Collection, and Contra Anniversary Collection.

Konami Anniversary Collection: Arcade Classics will launch on April 18, then Castlevania Anniversary Collection and Contra Anniversary Collection in the early summer.

In celebration with the 50th anniversary since Konami was founded, this Anniversary Collection series highlights many of the iconic arcade games and classic console titles that have been loved by fans throughout the years, and are made available on many of the latest platforms. From the shooters to action, these collections are packed with beloved titles that are simple to play and yet addicting to the core.

Konami welcomes everyone, from those who were glued to their CRT TVs or the arcade machines back in the day to first-time players, to enjoy a part of our history. I hope they don't limit themselves to retro titles, 5th gen and backwards. Konami has a lot of great titles on the GBA, DS, Wii, PSP and PS2, so it would be a shame to not include them.
