Square Enix announced it will be changing the Japanese voice for Olaf in Kingdom Hearts III following the arrest of voice actor Pierre Taki. He was arrested for allegedly using cocaine. 


Kingdom Hearts III is available now for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

It's silly that they think they have to change a voice actor because he broke the law, Imagine if hollywood or the music industry started doing this, they would be out of business lol.
It's not as if anyone knows the voice actor or cares about a victim-less crime anyway. But I always wondered why Olaf was covered in white powder XD

Disney already does this. Two voice actors in their shows were replaced after sexual misconduct accusations (and one show ended a year before the VA was changed). They're probably behind this change as well.

Why is Japan so incredibly hostile towards drug users? As in, even a rumor of drug use can be career ending over there.

It's an interesting cultural thing you don't really see in the west... I can't imagine how much cocaine has been involved in the creation of my favorite shows, movies, and games lol
