Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Update 1.3.0 Adds 'Advanced New Game Mode' - News

The update 1.3.0 for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will release in mid-February. It will add a "New Game Plus" mode called "Advanced New Game Mode" and will fix a bug that surfaced in the update 1.2.0.

Read a message from Monolith Soft director Tetsuya Takahashi below:

"In the version 1.2.0 update, there is a bug in certain instances during and after Chapter 7 where a Blade linked with a specific Driver disappears from the Blade List (it only disappears from the list, the Blade itself does not disappear).

This is a bug that occurred during the process of adding the second playthrough element called “Advanced New Game Mode,” which will be implemented in the version 1.3.0 update planned for mid-February.

We apologize for the inconvenience for the about half a month that remains, but we are working hard on the development of the update, so please give us your patience.

More information regarding the specific updated content of version 1.3.0 will be shared leading up to its release."

Thanks Gematsu.

Hoping for some performance improvements. Maintaining 720p30 should be a baseline for docked mode.

I read earlier one poster saying they had something like 220 hours invested (can't remember who)... I wonder if they're excited about this or dreading it? lol

Oh definitely, I'm just thinking of those times where I'd essentially "completed" a game I loved only to suddenly have a bunch of new content made available. For someone who can get a little obsessive about doing everything possible in a game that can be a bit stressful lol

Can't wait for the advanced new game mode.
I wouldn't mind sinking another 190 hours into this game.
