Ubisoft has announced a Season Pass forMario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle for $19.99.


The Season Pass includes the following:

  • Available at Launch – 8 unique steampunk weapons will be available, each one with its own statistics. These items will be exclusive to Season Pass owners.
  • Available This Fall – Players will be able to test their skills with new solo challenges, or with a friend, through additional co-op maps.
  • Available in 2018 – Players will be able to play through brand new story content.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle will launch for the Nintendo Switch on August 29.

I mean, it's Ubisoft... you had to see this coming lol. Still, from what I'm seeing this really shouldn't bother people too much as it seems the vanilla game is not compromised. If you like it enough, get the season pass, but if you don't... just don't bother.

I don't see how it is a bad thing. Additional content for additional price. Normal DLC-stuff. The base game looks complete. To consider the DLC I need to know more about the value it offers.

Those 8 exclusive steampunk weapons available at launch seem to have probably been able to been included into the base game.

These weapons seem to be the bonus for the season pass (which is a bad name, as it is only two DLCs, but whatever). And they don't make the base game worse.

It's actually $20 same as Breath of the Wild DLC Season Pass. Certainly not bad seeing that it is Ubisoft.

You could always ignore the season pass and just play the game without it.
