Digital sales are on the rise as the market switches towards digital sales. Digital sales save on labour costs, saves on storage costs, saves on freightage costs and prevents losses due to theft.

The digital sales including DLC, subscriptions and microtransactions makes that statistic meaningless. I'd rather know the true proportion of digital vs physical sales.

That 97% though.

Also digital sales be taking over sooner rather than later by the looks of it.

That's crazy to me! i would have been surprised at 50%, but 75%??!! Digital is starting to, or perhaps already has, taken over. Now if i could get a 20% membership for digital like gamestop, amazon and bestbuy offers, I'd be 100% digital.

What do you mean by 20% membership? Do they offer a 20% discount on digital games or something?

Sorry, what i mean is if Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft offered similar programs like some retail stores who give you 20% off all physical games, but instead had it for digital, then i would buy strictly digital as well, but as it stands for me because i have Best Buys Gamers Club membership, i save about $12 on every game buying physical.

74% but it included DLC, mobile, and social. No wonder its 74%, I don't know any physical DLC or Mobile games, what I want to know is Digital vs physical games only. then I can panic if digital games have fully taken over
