Reggie Discusses Switch Launch Line-Up - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 17 January 2017 / 8,833 ViewsNintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime discussed with CNet the launch line-up of the Nintendo Switch.
The console launches with just five games, however, Fils-Aime isn't worried as there are plenty of games coming out by the end of 2017. The Wii U launched with 34 titles and after a good launch sales haves of the console have struggled.
"Launch day is not the be-all and the end-all," Fils-Aime said. "It really is the steady pacing of content that continually reinforces for the people who bought into the platform why they made a smart choice, as well as what compels people who might be sitting on the sidelines to jump in.
"We feel we have this great ongoing march of content to motivate you to jump into the platform."
The Nintendo Switch launches on March 3.

It could work. Reggie is kinda right, but we'll have to wait to see that theory tested.
I'll take a steady stream of games over a huge chunk at launch and nothing for months. The thing they've got to watch out for is delays. One of their big games getting delayed would create a gap in the release schedule that would be bring back Wii U memories.
Did he get fat?
5 games us terrible for launch. I agree with him that a steady stream of content is important. But, it is also important to have a solid launch lineup. They definitely do not have the latter.
If LotZ wasn't multiplat this wouldn't be an issue.
Does this make sense?
I didn't even know he had a surname.
