I wonder just how much longer this MH train can keep going...
You know, this series might have a chance of this size of success over here in the west...IF IT WERE ON CONSOLE! Seriously, this game is one of the few big-hit handheld games that I firmly believe belongs on consoles, especially in the West where the density of 3DSs is lower, the WiFi isn't as strong, internet overall isn't as fast, and of course people expect this type of game on consoles.
The version on Wii U was an unmarketed, cheap as all crap port of the Wii version. Released years after the Wii version which wasn't a very impressive or well promoted game on that system either. What I mean is a version with the budget and support needed to make a big, blowout, HD version. That would have a serious shot.
You would almost think the console versions were low effort ports that barely measure up to the visuals of 6th gen games. Like I said, I'm talking about an actual, well done, promoted, high-production-values HD version. A half baked version isn't going to do much, that's just common sense.
Also, you are incorrect. Monster Hunter Tri on Wii is the best selling version of Monster Hunter 3 in the west. A console version. And that wasn't even an exceptional port and came before the bigger push MonHun4 got in the west (that is, any real push at all).
Literally a " Monster " in sales haha
This votes well for the Nintendo NX if it is a portable hybrid if they release games like monster hunter on it I am sure it will sell in Japan, good sales, game looks great. Hope for a western release soon.
Yeah, i cant wait on how this series will change (for the better) on Nintendo's new console/Handheld. Same with their other franchises
Would be Perfect, when a Game go from Handheld to Console, the Budget for the game Increase.
Nice. Now bring it west now!
The 3DS just keeps getting awesome games which sell AMAZINGLY! I guess this is the most selling game this year in Japan? Or did Yokai Watch Busters took it?
I really need to play one of these games. That's it, I'm going to wait for the next Monster Hunter. They look too good to ignore.
They are very good, but I do recommend getting MH4U.
