PS4 vs Xbox One vs Wii U USA Lifetime Sales – October 2015 Update - Sales

Looking at the total sales of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U in the US in October we can see that the race between the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One remains fairly close. The two consoles have been within one million units of each other since November 2014.
The PS4 has sold 9.41 million units lifetime in the US, the Xbox One 8.50 million units, and the Wii U 4.45 million units.
PlayStation 4 Total Sales: 9,409,789
Xbox One Total Sales: 8,503,910
Wii U Total Sales: 4,453,958
The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have both outsold the Wii U every month in the US since they released in November 2013. The Xbox One outsold the PlayStation 4 in October for the first time since April. The Xbox One outsold the PlayStation 4 by 19,662 units for the month and the Wii U by 233,169. The PlayStation 4 outsold the Wii U by 213,507 units.
When you compare monthly sales to a year ago the Xbox One is up, while the PlayStation 4 and Wii U are down. The Xbox One is up 105,961 units, the PlayStation 4 is down 13,879 units, and the Wii U is down 6,957 units.
PlayStation 4 Monthly Sales: 283,465
Xbox One Monthly Sales: 303,127
Wii U Monthly Sales: 69,958

The gap seems to never go to far from a million between PS4 and Xbox one for the last two years... Looks like NA sales will be close between those two this gen.
People aren't buying Wii U because Nintendo fans are waiting for the next console. :-p
I haven't bought a Wii U because I think it's too expensive for what you get.
