GameStop announced today that it plans to hire more than 28,000 seasonal workers for the upcoming holiday season. That is a 12 percent increase over 2014.

"Providing exceptional customer service is the cornerstone of GameStop’s promise to make our customers’ favorite technologies affordable and simple," said vice president of human resources for GameStop, Lisa Keglovitz. "Hiring an additional 28,000 seasonal associates will ensure we are appropriately staffed to meet our customers’ needs this holiday."

The seasonal jobs start on October 18th and end on January 8th. These workers will work between 10 hours and 25 hours per week and will get the standard 15 percent GameStop employee discount.
